What an opposite world from that of the drag strip and race tracks. I had no clue they existed.
Yet, any guy worth his weight during the muscle car era could recite all the
bells and whistles on the
newest models coming out of Detroit.
I remember seeing a Corvette for the first time and being wonder struck by it's sleek beauty. It was 1964. Since then, I doubt any other car has matched my idea of the perfect car.
Looking at the car lots of today and the variety of wheels available, I am kind of sad by it all. They just don't seem to hold the memories of the cars of years past.
They cost too much and the gas will bleed you dry of funds.
The thought of a long road trip almost nauseates and
couldn't possibly be as fun as in the old days.
Maybe I'll just stay home or
take a ride down memory lane and remember when
we had the best bad ass cars in the world and the
cutest guys behind the wheel!
